This is a 12-month fixed-term position to cover a vacancy in the Ophthalmology Team.
The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Main DutiesThe post holder will provide high-quality clerical and administrative support to the Ophthalmology Team, ensuring national and local targets are met and hospital SOPs are followed.
They will be responsible for validating and accurately recording data on the hospital's Medway system, working under the direction of the Deputy Service Manager for Ophthalmology.
The post holder will also provide support with the day-to-day running of the service.
Working for North Middlesex University HospitalNorth Middlesex University Hospital is one of London's busiest healthcare providers, offering hospital care and community services to over 350,000 people.
Our specialist services include HIV, cardiology, blood disorders, diabetes, fertility, sickle cell and thalassemia, as well as cancer diagnosis and treatment services.
We also provide community services and have a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people in Enfield.
Person Specification- GCSE or equivalent Level 2 Literacy and Level 2 Numeracy
- Business Administration Level 2 qualification (desirable)
- Microsoft Office IT qualification (desirable)
- Good working knowledge of IT Microsoft Packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel and other relevant programmes
- Working in an NHS Hospital (desirable)
- Flexibility
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and/or their carers
