Payroll Manager

Sharp Consultancy is a leading recruitment firm specialising in finance and accountancy roles.
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to manage a team of payrollers who work both weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 1000 employees at a well-known organisation based in Sheffield.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for both weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees.
- Lead and support a payroll team, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Prepare payroll reports for management, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Ensure proper management of payroll systems and liaise with software providers as necessary.
- CIPP qualification (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) is essential.
- Proven experience in payroll management, covering both weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and software.
- Ability to manage a high-volume payroll in a fast-paced environment.
