Job Summary:

IRIS-Networx Services is seeking a resilient and resourceful individual to join their team as a Homelessness Recovery Worker Assistant. This is a fast-paced, energetic role that requires a patient and robust approach to support young people as they leave care and navigate new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support up to seven young people aged 16-21 care leavers and looked after children with their individual needs to enable them to gain life skills and move on to lower or independent supported living.
  • Closely monitor several caseloads and adapt to priorities as needed.
  • Provide a listening ear and be a voice for each person when they need it.
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive team to provide a comprehensive support system.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to support young people in achieving their goals.

Requirements:

  • No specific experience in a similar role is required, but knowledge of the benefits system and tenancy legislation is essential.
  • A positive and flexible attitude with a passion for helping others.
  • The ability to remain calm in potentially difficult situations and find resolutions.
