Job Summary

LRQA is seeking a highly skilled Surveyor to join our team in a home-based role in Central Scotland. As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for assessing the design, manufacture, and in-service aspects of engineering assets against agreed codes, standards, specifications, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical inspections and assessments against defined specifications and scope, providing advice for service delivery within agreed parameters, including budget constraints and contractual requirements.
  • Produce reports, certificates, and documents to an agreed format and within agreed timescales.
  • Undertake and maintain agreed personal authorizations, follow up training plans, perform activity monitoring, document monitoring, and pursue continuous professional development.
  • Conduct all activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Must possess appropriate trade, technical, or vocational qualifications, including job-specific certifications such as ASME, PED, etc.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree from a recognized University (HNC/HND will be considered depending on level of experience).
  • Must possess sufficient, relevant previous working experience to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the relevant requirements, knowledge, and application (Welding, Fabrication, Materials, Machinery, Well Control Equipment, etc.).
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in MS Office suite of software.
  • Relevant working experience preferred or equivalent knowledge.
