Job Summary

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Inspector to join our team. As an Asset Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with contractors to ensure compliance with contract specifications, testing, and certification requirements.
  2. Promote best practices across the delivery team and contribute to a culture of excellence.
  3. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality of works, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Work closely with contractors to resolve defects and ensure that all works meet the required standards.
  5. Develop and maintain accurate records of site inspections, defects, and corrective actions.
  6. Provide regular updates to supervisors and other stakeholders on site progress and any issues that may impact project timelines.
  7. Participate in meetings and discussions to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned on project progress and quality standards.

Requirements

  1. Significant relevant experience in the highways or bridge sector, with a strong understanding of construction quality assurance principles and practices.
  2. Trade qualification or HNC in a civil or building-related discipline, with a focus on quality assurance and control.
  3. Excellent knowledge of the MCHW Specification for Highway Works and associated testing and inspection protocols.
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, with a focus on identifying key testing points and quality control measures.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  6. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex quality issues.
