Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our team at Cotteswold Dairy. As a Chilled Warehouse Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading and guiding a large team responsible for the receipt, picking, and returns of dairy and associated products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Guide a Team: Supervise and motivate a team of warehouse staff to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of dairy products.
- Stock Control: Control all movement of stock and check codes against tickets to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Chilled Warehouse is maintained at all times, providing a safe working environment for staff.
- Delivery and Unloading: Supervise the safe loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Team Performance: Support and monitor team performance, encouraging staff to work to the best of their ability.
- Team Environment: Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
- Support and Cover: Provide support for the Chilled Warehouse Supervisor, covering days off and holidays.
Requirements:
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills and experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Health and Safety: Working knowledge of Health & Safety safe practices and the ability to understand and implement the company's Health & Safety Policy.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
