This role is for a skilled and experienced Electrical Controls Engineer who will excel in the industrial industry. The ideal candidate will have significant knowledge and skills in control systems and instrumentation and will be based at our West of Scotland site, with occasional travel to other Scotland sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support the commissioning and validation of new process operations, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Technical troubleshooting of communication, SCADA, and software issues, with a focus on resolving problems efficiently.
  • Optimization of plant process parameters, delivering process improvement projects across the sites.
  • Training and competence assessment of site staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to operate complex systems.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Conducting regular reviews and updates of system documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Managing project timelines and deliverables, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical controls and instrumentation, with experience in control systems and process optimization. They will be a team player, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
