Role Overview

In this position, you will oversee site engineers, evaluate construction documentation, and assist site management teams with all facets of health, safety, and environmental stewardship. You will also work closely with the Engineering and Integration team to ensure that operations are executed according to specifications and design documents.

Project Summary

The Kilgallioch Windfarm project, located in the vicinity of Purgatory Forests, involves the construction of 96 turbines by Farrans. This includes the development of access roads, installation of electrical infrastructure, and the construction of the control facility, along with rock extraction from adjacent quarries and land preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise site engineers and assist the Site Agent and supervisors in the daily operations of the site. Collaborate with the site agent to achieve outstanding health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes. Ensure quality control and a thorough understanding of specifications and DWI requirements. Provide engineering assistance to resolve technical challenges and address inquiries. Take initiative in addressing any unforeseen technical issues and other challenges that may arise. Maintain and provide precise setting out and dimensional control to guarantee accurate construction.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the water sector. Strong planning abilities and effective delegation skills for the engineering team. A valid CSCS / CSR card. Comprehensive knowledge of current building regulations, legislation, and health and safety standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. A full manual UK driving license is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional attention to detail along with strong planning and organizational capabilities.
