Lung Health Check Screening Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Screening Review Coordinator. As a key member of the Targeted Lung Health Team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating pathways for patients on the program.
Main DutiesThe Screening Review Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the pathway for patients on the Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) program who require a review of their low-dose screening CT scan. This will involve recording and monitoring Screening review meeting outcomes within the TLHC Management system and ensuring that patients needing onward referral for both cancer and non-cancer findings from the scan are tracked appropriately and receive the recommended care.
The post holder will work closely with the team providing the Lung Health Check elements of the program and provide cross-over and screening checks when required. They will also be responsible for line management of the Band 3 TLHC Waiting List and Appointments Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities- Communicate with a wide variety of healthcare professionals, including consultants, cancer nurse specialists, and GPs.
- Coordinate appointments and investigations, liaising with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Liaise with GPs, patients, and their carers to facilitate individual patient journeys through cancer pathways.
- Attend meetings to discuss issues impacting patient care.
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- Recruitment and selection training.
- Appraisal training.
Experience and Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of using a range of databases or patient information systems.
- Supervisory experience, including demonstrable skills in leading a team to achieve difficult performance targets and promoting an excellent patient service culture.
