About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, training, and maintaining our advanced equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and setup of our product range, including X-ray, intelligent slicing, industrial washing, metal detection, weighing, and combining electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and embedded controllers and servo systems.
- Providing training to client maintenance personnel, completing on-site evaluations, installing machine enhancements, and testing/calibration of equipment to ensure compliance with production and regulatory bodies.
- Completing proactive courtesy calls to customers, carrying out remote customer servicing, equipment repair, and troubleshooting over the phone, and performing in-house product testing and/or demos.
- Providing support to our production team, as required.
- Assisting in the commissioning of finished products by wiring motors, e-stops, isolators, control panels, etc.
- Electrical or instrumentation abilities with relevant experience.
- Experience in the installation, training, calibration, repair, and maintenance of highly technical advanced equipment.
- Field service and/or troubleshooting experience.
- Working knowledge of computers and most common software packages.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL, an advantage.
- Ability to produce technical presentations and deliver training effectively.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, location, and hours.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused, with a passion for building strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Willingness and ability to travel to visit customers, with approximately 60-80% travel as part of the role.
- Happy to travel and work out of hours/weekends as required, with food factory environments and overtime available.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £40-45,000 (dependent upon experience), overtime at 1.5x, a company car, and a pension contribution (TBC).
