Key Responsibilities:
- Database Environment Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of our database environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- SQL Support: Provide expert-level SQL support to our operations and development teams, ensuring timely resolution of production-level issues.
- Collaboration and Liaison: Work closely with our IT development teams to troubleshoot production systems, and liaise with third-party vendors to resolve issues with bespoke systems.
- Capacity Management and Security Auditing: Perform regular capacity management tasks and security auditing to ensure our database environment remains secure and compliant with industry standards.
- Data Security: Maintain the highest level of data security within our database estate, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.
- Documentation and Implementation: Document and implement all SQL configuration changes, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
- Development Application Support: Implement development applications changes, ensuring minimal disruption to our production environment.
- Security Controls and Best Practices: Enforce group security controls and best practices, ensuring our database environment remains secure and compliant with industry standards.
Requirements:
- DBA Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in database administration, with a strong background in SQL and database management.
- Technical Skills: Excellent technical skills, with a strong understanding of database systems, SQL, and data security.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
