Area Manager Full Time Position

We are seeking an experienced Care Manager to join our team in Wales' largest not-for-profit learning disabilities services. Our organisation has been supporting individuals with complex needs for over 35 years, and we are committed to providing high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that support services are delivered to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support services to identify areas for improvement.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Foster a culture of engagement and participation, empowering individuals to have a strong voice and control over their care.
- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and aspirations.
- Promote self-determination and independence.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of support staff.
- Provide regular supervision and support to staff members.
- Ensure that staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver effective support.
- Promote a culture of safeguarding and positive risk-taking.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including social services, inspectors, health professionals, landlords, and families.
- Represent the organisation effectively in external meetings and forums.
- Collaborate with other agencies and organisations to improve outcomes for individuals.
- Develop and manage budgets for the area, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience of working with people with learning disabilities or with people with other support needs.
- The ability to achieve results through managing colleagues' performance and monitoring and evaluating service provision.
- NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
- Full UK Driver's Licence.
- The ability to provide direction for colleagues and managers through supervision, team meetings, and delegation of work.
