Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Anaesthesia Consultant to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cardiac anaesthesia team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of cardiac anaesthesia services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision of junior medical staff and contribute to the development of cardiac anaesthesia services.
  • Take an active role in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of the department's business plan.
  • Be aware of and comply with all Trust infection prevention and control policies.
  • Be accountable for the implementation of the Code of Practice within your department/area of responsibility.
Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC and completion of a subspecialty training program in anaesthesia or equivalent experience.
  • Wide experience and accredited training in most aspects of anaesthesia, including cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Advanced cardiac training and experience in TOE (transoesophageal echocardiography).
