About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team at Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support (SARSAS). As a key member of our Income Generation team, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our ambitious fundraising goals and make a real difference in the lives of survivors of sexual violence.

About the Job

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure income from a range of sources, including trusts, foundations, corporate partners, and individual donors. You will work closely with our Senior Leadership Team and team leads to understand funding priorities, identify potential funders and donors, and develop compelling funding bids, proposals, and appeals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and team leads to understand funding priorities and identify potential funders and donors
  • Develop compelling funding bids, proposals, and appeals to secure income from a range of sources
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential funders and donors
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities and partnerships
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and make recommendations for improvement

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Manager who has a proven track record of securing income from a range of sources. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have a strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices, with the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.

Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support (SARSAS) is a charity that provides support and services to survivors of sexual violence in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, and BANES. Contract Information

  • Salary: £36,760 pa FTE
  • Hours: 37 hours per week (or as agreed)
  • Responsible to: Head of Income Generation (CEO while this post is vacant)
  • Based: Bristol based with up to 50% working from home
  • Annual Leave: 27 days + bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Contract: Permanent
