Job Title: Apprentice HR Administrative Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our HR team as an Apprentice HR Administrative Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our HR department, ensuring the smooth operation of our HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Checks and Right to Work checks
  • Set up new starter personnel files and prepare offer letters, contracts, and addendum letters
  • Perform monthly audits and reporting to the Head of HR, as well as project work as required
  • Ensure HR databases are up to date and act as a note taker in investigation and/or disciplinary meetings
  • Book and track all support teams Mandatory/Core training as required
  • Communicate effectively with the Head of HR to ensure all involved are up to date with any HR/Employment issues
  • Perform general ad-hoc HR admin duties and work closely with recruitment/advertising

Requirements:

  • Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and autonomously to manage the volume of workload
  • Excellent organizational skills and excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and HR databases
  • A clear understanding of Right to Work in the UK checks
  • Minimum of two years' experience with a proactive and positive approach
  • CIPD level 3 or above or working towards at a similar level desirable
  • Ability to deliver a high-quality service in a busy HR department, working towards tight onboarding deadlines
  • Some knowledge of UK Employment Law, including investigation, disciplinary, and grievance processes
