Job Title: Band 6 Cath Lab Radiographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our dynamic Cath Lab team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a Band 6 Cath Lab Radiographer, you will play a crucial role in providing expert imaging services for complex cardiac interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out cardiac procedures in our advanced cardiac cath labs, demonstrating proficiency in imaging techniques.
  • Work closely with cardiologists to provide real-time imaging guidance during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
  • Utilise the equipment within the department adhering to national and local protocols relating to the radiation safety of both the patient and the staff.
  • Uphold high standards of patient care, ensuring a smooth and reassuring experience throughout the procedure.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary cardiac catheter lab team to optimise workflow efficiency and maintain a patient-centred approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, attending relevant training and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge specific to cardiac catheter lab procedures.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment within the department.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in diagnostic radiography.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • Demonstrates leadership, good planning, organisational and delegation skills, and ability to make decisions and work under pressure.
