As a dynamic and friendly multidisciplinary team, we provide 24/7 support for various services, including trauma, vascular, renal, hepato-biliary, urology, oncology, obstetric, and paediatric care.
We are committed to delivering high-quality, effective, and efficient radiographic services to the highest professional standards. Our state-of-the-art facilities, including a 8 Million pound high-tech hybrid operating department with a Siemens Artis Zeego C-arm, enable us to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a high level of clinical expertise and participate in department shift systems and/or out-of-hours rosters.
- Participate in rotation through all 3 UHL sites and perform technical administrative tasks, including accurate patient information, examination details, and post-processing requirements on the Radiology Information and PACS systems.
- Encourage and practice Get it Right First Time radiography and strive to achieve quality assurance in all aspects of the radiology service.
- Responsible for the care and comfort of patients while in the Radiology Department, respecting their privacy, dignity, religious, and cultural beliefs.
- Work closely with the Superintendent Radiographers to provide optimum patient care and constantly seek ways of improving standards and performance.
- Ensure the highest standards of radiation protection for staff, patients, and visitors and maintain compliance with all statutory and mandatory training requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years radiography experience and IR experience.
- HCPC Registered and previous UK NHS Experience.
- Demonstrates leadership and previous Band 6 equivalent role.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interpersonal skills.
