Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our team in the Health Records Department at University Hospital Ayr. As an Administrative Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring seamless communication with healthcare teams, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and file patient records in a secure and confidential manner
  • Record patient-related data, admissions, and outpatient appointments using our computerized Patient Management System
  • Provide reception services, answering telephones, and relaying messages
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely information exchange
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • SVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent qualification or experience
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet service demands
