About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in South Kent Coast CMHT, based at Coleman House in Dover and Ash Eton in Folkestone. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify individuals' strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including group and individual sessions, to promote recovery and independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, support workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to junior occupational therapists, occupational therapy apprentices, and support workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to service development and audits to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Experience in completing occupational therapy assessments and delivering interventions in community settings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with individuals with mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledge of relevant occupational therapy theoretical models and national policy and procedures.
