We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in South Kent Coast CMHT, based at Coleman House in Dover and Ash Eton in Folkestone. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify individuals' strengths, needs, and goals.
- Develop and implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including group and individual sessions, to promote recovery and independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, support workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide supervision and mentoring to junior occupational therapists, occupational therapy apprentices, and support workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to service development and audits to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Experience in completing occupational therapy assessments and delivering interventions in community settings.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with individuals with mental health difficulties.
- Knowledge of relevant occupational therapy theoretical models and national policy and procedures.
