Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Safran Engineering Services UK Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating design activities to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate design activities to meet project deadlines
  • Participate in technical audits and reviews to ensure design quality
  • Develop and implement tools, processes, and methods to improve design deliverables
  • Report and forecast project status, updating key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Support Integrated Configuration Management (ICM), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR) as required
  • Audit design engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering
  • Significant experience in project leadership through a full program lifecycle
  • Highly proficient in Catia V5 and experience using Smarteam
  • Strong ability to plan and schedule design activities across multiple design modules
  • Effective communication skills to clearly define expectations and gain understanding
  • Experience managing a team
