Geotechnical Manager – Offshore Wind

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Manager to join our team at the Green Recruitment Company. As a key member of our offshore wind team, you will be responsible for examining geotechnical risks and establishing parameters for the design of offshore wind structures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Initiate and execute soil investigation campaigns to ensure compliance with substructure design and certification.
  • Run requests for proposals, assess offers, and select preferred subcontractors for soil conditions measurement devices.
  • Analyse geophysical and geotechnical studies undertaken for the project.
  • Support wind turbine and floater selection activities, including engagement with substructure contractors.
  • Participate in engineering and design due diligence and monitor soil assessment during project development.
  • Prepare Site Conditions Reports for the Basis of Design of the projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate works with technical contractors supporting soil investigation activities.
  • Write reports, applications, and memos with varying degrees of technical content.

Requirements

  • Strong geotechnical engineering background related to fixed subsea substructures and anchor substructures.
  • Experience in offshore wind across early-stage project development.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to others in an accessible manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis, especially within the UK.
