We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Platinum Recruitment Consultancy. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing meals for residents, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning schedules to ensure that the kitchen meets the requirements of the Food Safety Manual.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Help to maintain a positive and productive team environment.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and recipes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a care home or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
