Senior Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Business Controller in delivering financial reports to the corporate headquarters.
Manage the accounting functions for the UK and Ireland branches, including the preparation of monthly financial statements and integration into the financial reporting system.
Collaborate in the monthly commercial reviews, clearly identifying variances and assessing risks and opportunities for executive evaluation.
Oversee the costing systems and transactions within the ERP system to ensure precise operations while enhancing financial systems.
Foster relationships with various departments and lead a team of direct and indirect reports.
Conduct General Ledger analysis and support VAT returns for both entities, along with contributions for tax submissions.
Prepare and submit payroll information to external processors, including annual tax documentation.
Contribute to the budgeting process and forecast updates, developing new financial models as necessary.
Participate in Year-End Closing activities, addressing auditor inquiries and preparing annual financial statements.
Ensure adherence to corporate accounting and compliance policies.
Identify areas for performance improvement and profit enhancement.
Conduct margin analysis across various dimensions and implement corrective measures as needed.
Handle general administrative tasks, including office supply management and facility upkeep.
Required Qualifications:
Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience.
Proficient in Excel and familiarity with SAP is preferred.
Demonstrated commitment, self-motivation, and integrity.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with finance and operational teams.
Strong organizational skills to meet strict deadlines.
Attention to detail with a critical approach to processes.
Positive attitude, adaptability, and enthusiasm for the role.
Experience in the construction sector is advantageous.
Capability to distill complex data into clear, accessible information for diverse audiences.
