**Job Summary**

Islington Council is seeking a highly skilled Programme Management Officer to join our Active Travel Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, promoting, and coordinating our borough's cycle training programme.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cycle training programme to promote active travel and healthy lifestyles in Islington.
  • Collaborate with the Active Travel Team Leader to ensure the programme meets the council's Transport Strategy and Vision Zero goals.
  • Provide expert advice to elected members, management, and less experienced colleagues on cycle training and active travel initiatives.
  • Manage staff and resources to deliver the programme effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, community groups, and other stakeholders to promote active travel and healthy lifestyles.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of one year's experience as a fully accredited cycle instructor (NSI or 1st4Sport Level 2) and/or a Teaching Qualification.
  • Experience of staff management and team leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a range of projects and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
