About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Brief Intervention Specialist in the Primary Care Network Mental Health Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide short-term treatment, care, and support for individuals with mental health difficulties in the primary care sector.
  • Work closely with the Primary Care Network Mental Health Team to facilitate reviews of patient needs and initiate mental health treatment for a range of conditions.
  • Promote health and wellbeing through health promotion and education, and provide education, monitoring, and initiation of mental health medication management in primary care.
  • Develop innovative practice to deal creatively with service demands for referrals, allocations, monitoring of KPIs, and clinical caseload management.
  • Mentorship and supervision of students, and participate in Patient Safety investigations, complaints, and relevant investigations in line with Trust policies.
Requirements
  • Qualified RMN/SW or OT with a strong background in mental health.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification or willingness to undertake training.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) and experience of working within a mental health setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure, contain and manage stress, and demonstrate robust clinical judgement.
  • UK driving license, essential for driving to Primary Care Network bases and Trust sites.
