About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Mental Health Nurse to join our team in the Initiating Treatment Team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Primary Care Network Mental Health Team to provide short-term treatment, care, and support for individuals with mental health difficulties in the primary care sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health treatment and support to individuals in the primary care sector
  • Work closely with the Primary Care Network Mental Health Team to facilitate reviews of patient needs and initiate mental health treatment
  • Develop and implement health promotion and education programs to promote health and wellbeing
  • Provide education, monitoring, and initiation of mental health medication management in primary care

Requirements

  • Qualified RMN/SW or OT
  • Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification or willingness to undertake training
  • Experience of working within a Mental Health setting
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stress
  • Robust clinical judgement
