Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation. Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring all tasks and milestones are identified and tracked.
  • Budget Management: Estimate project costs at pre-contract stage and monitor project costs during the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and apprentices, ensuring they are delivering their tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and orders with subcontractors and suppliers, reviewing and approving invoices and variations to orders.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure work is completed to industry standards and client specifications, conducting regular onsite inspections and audits.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans, proactively addressing project and onsite issues to minimize project disruptions.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, attending pre-contract meetings and providing regular updates regarding project progress.
Person Specification:
  • Project Management experience within a construction environment
  • Mechanical background
  • Experience of ground and air heat pumps ideal
