About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Development Engineer to join our team at GK Search. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and deliver high-quality products within specified timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics, tracking progress and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct on-site audits and assessments to evaluate supplier compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination with suppliers.
  • Travel extensively throughout the UK, Europe, and occasionally North America to support supplier development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, with a strong foundation in engineering and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 or willingness to learn, with proficiency in PFMEA, root cause analysis, PPAP, and core quality tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
