About the Role

Astute People is collaborating with a prominent energy organization to recruit a Quality Assurance Specialist to contribute to its power generation and gas storage initiatives across the UK.


This pivotal role offers a competitive salary of up to £70,000 along with an attractive benefits package, including a 12% pension contribution, private healthcare, and a performance-based bonus scheme.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support power generation and gas storage projects, including maintenance and outage activities across a diverse range of assets in the UK.
  • Promote best practices across various functions by engaging collaboratively and conducting benchmarking analyses to optimize performance throughout the organization.
  • Enhance quality performance through cross-functional collaboration and effective stakeholder management.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to quality standards to minimize costs and maximize client satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage quality initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance and uphold the highest standards of health, safety, security, environment, and quality (HSSEQ).


Qualifications and Experience

  • A HNC or degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Quality Assurance, with knowledge of process plants.
  • Proficiency in ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and Root Cause Analysis Techniques is essential.
  • A safety management qualification (such as IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certificate) is preferred.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the power generation or heavy process industries.
  • A valid UK driving license is required due to the travel nature of the role.

  • Committed to continuous improvement and adept at implementing process changes to enhance operational performance.
  • Willing to travel extensively, including potential stays away for up to three months during outages, with a flexible approach to work.
