About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Veolia ES (UK) LIMITED. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) Plant equipment, including quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the MRF Plant equipment, including quality control, to ensure compliance with site permit requirements.
  • Liaise with facilities managers to maintain efficient and effective operations, ensuring optimal production levels and minimizing downtime.
  • Ensure sampling materials are collected and processed to achieve maximum margin on sellable recyclables, optimizing revenue streams.
  • Assign work to production team members and supervise their activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Audit the plant and employees to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Control the acceptance, storing, and loading of MRF materials to ensure compliance with site permit requirements.
  • Report and respond to plant emergencies, as required, to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Quality control experience, with a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • People management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Analyst/sampling experience, with a strong understanding of data analysis and interpretation.
  • Mobile plant licenses, with a strong understanding of plant operations and safety protocols.
