Job Title: Construction Project Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Director to lead the construction of our 450 MW Loch Na Cathrach pump storage project in Scotland.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project construction delivery team, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the project construction delivery team, including recruitment, development, and motivation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the project steering committee, designers, suppliers, contractors, and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as business ethics standards
  • Develop and implement project governance, including project charters, formal agreements, and compliance management
  • Manage interfaces, stakeholder relationships, and transparent reporting
  • Ensure delivery of project-specific prevention plans and monthly reporting to the project steering committee
Requirements
  • Proven track record of leading large capital construction projects with high standards of safety, time, cost, quality, and risk management
  • Experience from contractor-side project management, ideally hydropower construction, or other relevant heavy civil construction
  • Promoter of the highest HSE standards, high standards of personal integrity, and fully committed to high international standards of business ethics
  • Experience with international clients and consultants
  • Strong contractual understanding and experience, commercial mindset
  • Good at managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably civil
