Job Title: Contract Manager

This is a pivotal role within AGM Construction Recruitment, responsible for ensuring optimal resourcing for upcoming projects and appointing competent site managers. The Contract Manager will drive project performance to achieve a high delivery rate and promptly report any risks or issues to the senior management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop civil construction project programs for all sites and submit them to the ICP team for integration into the overall project program.
  • Site Management: Line manage site managers, approving annual leave, updating sickness absence records, and conducting monthly one-on-ones to review performance and assist in professional development.
  • Quality and Safety: Conduct monthly Health & Safety (H&S) Audits and Quality of Work (QOW) inspections, and collaborate with the SHEQ team to review construction H&S documentation for validity and updates.
  • Commercial Management: Review civil construction budget before project initiation, share details with the site manager, and drive project productivity to maintain or exceed budgetary goals.
  • Contract Management: Ensure no variations to contract work commence without written agreement from the commercial team and conduct a project completion commercial review with the commercial team.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have experience in civil construction project management, with a strong understanding of project planning, site management, quality and safety, and commercial management.
