Position Summary:
The firm is seeking a skilled Associate to enhance its M&A team. In this pivotal role, you will be integral to the execution of M&A transactions and advisory initiatives. Collaborating closely with senior colleagues, you will engage in all phases of the deal lifecycle, from initial client discussions to the finalization of transactions. This position offers a unique opportunity for a driven professional to gain substantial exposure to high-stakes deals in the infrastructure sector while advancing their career in a vibrant and fast-evolving setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Execution: Assist senior team members in executing M&A transactions, encompassing financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence processes.
- Client Engagement: Engage in client meetings, prepare impactful presentations, and aid in fostering client relationships.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough industry and market research to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential transaction candidates.
- Financial Analysis: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to facilitate transaction assessments and strategic decision-making.
- Documentation Preparation: Support the creation of transaction-related documentation, including information memoranda, pitch books, and marketing collateral.
Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline. An MBA or CFA designation is preferred.
- Professional Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&A, investment banking, or corporate finance, ideally within the infrastructure sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
- Analytical Abilities: High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and adept problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative Spirit: A team-oriented mindset with the capacity to work efficiently within a small team environment.
