Position Overview

The Student Records and Lifecycle team plays a pivotal role within UCL's student administration framework. This dynamic team collaborates closely with various faculties and departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the academic processes and their implications on student records throughout the academic journey.

The Senior Student Records Officer is tasked with overseeing the accuracy and integrity of student records across the institution. This role serves as a vital resource for students, academic staff, and professional services personnel regarding student records, procedural guidelines, and regulatory compliance. Building and nurturing effective relationships with stakeholders is essential.

This position emphasizes the management of student award documentation, including transcripts and both digital and physical certificates. Additionally, the officer will oversee the resolution of student inquiries, ensuring that all queries are addressed efficiently.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in an administrative support capacity within a fast-paced academic setting. A strong familiarity with the SITS student information system or similar record-keeping systems is essential. Understanding the UK Higher Education landscape and relevant immigration laws as they pertain to students is crucial, along with the ability to interpret and provide guidance on complex regulatory issues.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required, coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Proficiency in IT and the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively to meet deadlines are also key attributes.
