Home Care Assistant/Support Worker

North Yorkshire Council is a leading provider of home care services, dedicated to supporting individuals in their own homes. We are seeking experienced and compassionate Care Assistants/Support Workers to join our team in Skipton and surrounding areas.
About the Job
We provide personalized care and support to clients with varying needs, including personal care, medication management, meal preparation, and domestic support. Our team works closely with clients to understand their unique requirements and preferences, ensuring a high level of care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Manage medication and administer as required
- Prepare meals and snacks for clients
- Perform domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Support clients with community engagement, including appointments and social activities
Requirements
- Previous experience in care and support work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
