Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our dynamic team at the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire. As a key member of our Diabetes and Endocrinology Consultant teams, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

The successful candidate will have comprehensive experience in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Medicine, with a strong track record of delivering excellent patient outcomes. You will be passionate about improving the patient experience and outcomes, with a commitment to teamwork and integrated working.

As a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology, you will be expected to participate in the acute on-call rota and contribute to the development of our services. You will work closely with our clinical teams to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Entry on the GMC Specialist register by either CCT or CESR
  • Full registration with General Medical Council
  • MD, PhD, or other higher degree
  • Education/Medical Education Qualification (preferably at Masters level)

Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in:

  • Audit and Quality Improvement
  • Teaching Junior Staff
  • Undergraduate Teaching
  • Curriculum development and delivery
