Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Freight Operations Coordinator to join our team at Red Recruit. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end import sea freight forwarding operations, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and book cargo with shipping lines, ensuring optimal rates and schedules
  • Manage documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and licenses, to ensure compliance with customs regulations
  • Handle customs clearances, including import and export customs entries using CDS, to minimize delays and costs
  • Oversee the collection and delivery process, ensuring shipments reach their final destination on time and in good condition
  • Collaborate with a small team, covering all areas of the forwarding process, to ensure seamless communication and execution
  • Book freight movements across different transport modes, including sea, air, and land, to meet customer requirements
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide quotes, ensuring timely and accurate communication

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in end-to-end Import Sea Freight Forwarding operations
  • Strong understanding of customs regulations, commodity codes, and related paperwork
  • Experience with Import and Export customs entries using CDS
  • Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
