About the Role

The Academic Training Programme Director is a key position within the NHS England organization, responsible for leading the development and implementation of clinical academic training programs. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical and educational leadership, as well as experience in managing multi-professional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical academic training programs that meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of clinical academics and educational supervisors to deliver high-quality training and education.
  • Collaborate with other departments and organizations to ensure alignment and coordination of clinical academic training programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, educational institutions, and government agencies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical academic training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g. medicine, healthcare, education).
  • Experience in clinical and educational leadership, including managing multi-professional teams.
  • Strong understanding of clinical and educational research methods and principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
