About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 at a school in North Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with children in Key Stage 1 and be able to establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and promoting inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • Be aware of and respond appropriately to individual pupil needs, ensuring effective interaction and providing specific support to pupils dependent upon their individual needs.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance and direction of the teacher.
  • Assist with the display of children's work and prepare and maintain resources required for the learning environment.
  • Liaise with the teacher to utilise strategies to support pupils in achieving learning goals and establish positive relationships with parents/carers.
Requirements
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference in the lives of children.
  • A proven record of working with children in Key Stage 1.
  • Organisation and efficiency in a busy environment.
  • A high expectation of care for all children and an understanding of school safeguarding requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, a team player, and a desire to raise standards.
