Finatal is a leading Private Equity-backed B2C business with a strong presence in its industry. With revenues of £50 million and an EBITDA of £10 million, the company is well-positioned for significant growth.

**Role Overview**

The Chief Financial Officer will be the No1 in Finance, reporting directly to the CEO. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial strategy, ensuring the company is on track to meet its ambitious growth and exit plans.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Strategic Financial Leadership**: Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the company's growth objectives, with a particular focus on maximising value ahead of the planned exit.
  • **Reporting & Analysis**: Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing timely and accurate financial information to the CEO, Board, and Private Equity investors.
  • **Mergers & Acquisitions**: Lead the financial due diligence and integration of acquisitions, ensuring each transaction contributes to the company's overall growth and value creation strategy.
  • **Operational Excellence**: Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, compliance, and risk management processes are in place.
  • **Stakeholder Management**: Act as a key point of contact for Private Equity investors, banks, and other external stakeholders, providing clear and compelling financial insights and updates.
  • **Team Leadership**: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

**Key Requirements:**

  • **Experience**: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Finance Director or CFO, preferably within a Private Equity-backed environment and in a B2C business. Experience with buy-and-build strategies and M&A is essential.
  • **Technical Expertise**: Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • **Leadership**: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • **Strategic Mindset**: Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution, ensuring the finance function is both a strategic partner and an efficient service provider.
  • **Communication**: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation.
  • **Results-Oriented**: Proactive, results-driven approach with a strong focus on delivering value and achieving business objectives.
