About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join our expanding team of senior medical staff at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based care for patients in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care.
  • Development of sub-specialty interests that fit in with division needs and the strategic direction of the Trust.
  • Responsibilities for carrying out teaching, examination, and accreditation duties.
  • Provision of cover for Consultant colleagues' periods of leave in accordance with arrangements agreed within Trust policy.
  • Participation in clinical audit and in continuing medical education.
  • Undertaking ward rounds as appropriate.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A CCT or equivalent in Geriatric and General (Internal) Medicine.
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
