Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer to join our team at oilandgas, where you will play a critical role in the design and development of advanced jet engines and components. As a key member of our GE9x team, you will contribute to the production of cutting-edge aviation technologies that power commercial and military aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, analyze, and evaluate assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of key business drivers and use this knowledge to accomplish your work, ensuring seamless integration with other teams and contributing to the area.
  3. Collaborate with various engineering organizations to contribute to the development of engine systems and designs.
  4. Gain in-depth knowledge of the technical discipline and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  5. Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers, effectively communicating complex information.
  6. Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and tasks, consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  7. Resolve issues within your technical knowledge base and judgment, consulting more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  8. Monitor and communicate project status to Engineering leadership, providing timely updates on significant issues or developments.
  9. Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews, showcasing your expertise and contributions.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  2. Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in a relevant engineering position.

Desired Characteristics

  1. Fundamental understanding of turbomachinery design and its applications.
  2. Previous experience in the design of aviation components and systems.
  3. Proficiency with Ansys and Unigraphics, as well as other relevant engineering tools and systems.
  4. Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  6. Established project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  7. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, with a passion for innovation and improvement.
  8. Documented experience as a self-starter, with a strong desire to drive solutions and contribute to the company's success.
  9. Ability to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, providing guidance and support.
  10. Humble and respectful, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
