Hardware Design Engineer required by an Electronic Engineering and Product Design consultancy with a wide variety of projects ranging in complexity, some which involve AI and IoT audio and video systems. A salary of between £40,000 and £55,000 is on offer together with a strong benefits package that includes 28 days holiday, private pension, training, progression opportunities, and more.


This is a great opportunity for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer, with embedded firmware, software and PCB familiarity, to help develop electronics products using flair and creative thinking. You’ll design reliable digital and analogue hardware solutions that meet specific briefs including PCB layout, embedded drivers, and power solutions.


The right candidate for this Hardware Design Engineer position will be creative with a real passion for electronics.


Technical essentials include: Digital and analogue design, EDA tools, knowledge of key component families (such as ICs, modules, connectors, etc), debugging, fault-finding and testing experience, and of course, PCB layouts.


Desirable experience includes: PCB manufacturing and assembly, experience of multiple product industries/sectors, embedded C and/or C++, any knowledge of FPGA/CPLD logic design. Basically, the more experience or related interests, the better This includes personal projects, not just as a professional Hardware Design Engineer.
