About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a Primary Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners who require dedicated, in-person support to enable their academic success.

Our learners are situated throughout Kent, particularly in Maidstone, Dartford, Gravesend, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, Folkstone, and Canterbury. You will provide in-person, daytime tuition to learners who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations.

As a Primary Tutor, you will create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire, and teach. You will also monitor your learner's progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.

We are looking for a tutor who is experienced in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Childhood Trauma. You will work closely with your learner's guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.

Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
