Location - Selby

We are seeking enthusiastic service personnel who can consistently provide a 'Make Their Day' experience. The Caf at Selby operates in a dynamic environment, particularly bustling during lunch hours, serving hospital staff and visitors. We require individuals with high energy and a proactive attitude. The Caf is open from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled within these hours.

Each day presents unique challenges and responsibilities, including operating tills, serving from hot counters, managing pot wash duties, and maintaining cleanliness by wiping tables and sweeping floors. Exciting developments are on the horizon, with plans to introduce innovative food concepts, such as a deli styled like Subway and pizza offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating tills and handling cash transactions
  • Serving from hot food counters
  • Preparing fresh pizzas
  • Crafting sandwiches at the deli counter
  • Cleaning tables and maintaining floor hygiene
  • Assisting in pot wash operations
  • Supporting food service in wards for patients
  • Providing assistance in the kitchen as needed

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • A solid educational background, including reading, writing, and basic numeracy skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • BICSc Qualification/NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning/Catering or equivalent.

Experience and Knowledge Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • At least one year of experience in a customer-facing catering role.
  • Experience in food service.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience as a Barista.
  • Experience as a Sandwich Artist.
  • Skills in food preparation.
