We are seeking enthusiastic service personnel dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience daily. The Caf at Selby operates in a high-energy environment, particularly during lunch hours, catering primarily to hospital staff and visitors. We require individuals with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. The Caf is open from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled within these hours.
Each day presents unique challenges and responsibilities, including operating cash registers, serving hot meals, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in food preparation. Exciting developments are on the horizon as we plan to introduce innovative food concepts, including a deli and pizza offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operating cash registers and managing transactions
- Serving meals from hot counters
- Preparing fresh pizzas
- Assisting at the deli counter
- Maintaining cleanliness by wiping tables and sweeping floors
- Supporting pot wash operations
- Assisting in serving food to patients in wards
- Providing support in the kitchen as needed

Education, Qualifications, and Training
Essential
- Basic education, including reading, writing, and basic numerical skills.
Desirable
- BICSc Qualification/NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning/Catering or equivalent.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements

- At least one year of experience in a customer-facing catering role.
- Experience in food service.

- Barista experience.
