As a result of continued growth, they are seeking a Head of Cybersecurity Operations to lead the SOC team, ensuring efficient operations and upkeep of cybersecurity standards and processes.

The Head of Cybersecurity Operations is a home-based role offering a salary up to £85,000 plus package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy
  • Mentor and manage a UK-wide SOC team, providing coaching and training
  • Enhance threat detection capabilities and streamline processes
  • Design and implement optimized automations and improve incident response times
  • Monitor and analyze security events, coordinating effective responses
  • Mitigate vulnerabilities and manage SIEM and SOAR platforms
  • Oversee customer security reporting and conduct service reviews

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a technical or team manager in cybersecurity
  • Cybersecurity expert with a deep understanding of best practices
  • Effective communication across technical and non-technical staff
  • SOC operations and SIEM/SOAR tools experience
  • Technical security controls, including firewalls, IPS, endpoint security, web and email filtering, and network security logging
  • Supporting secure infrastructure from change to BAU
  • Providing security expertise, guidance, and assurance for projects
