Job Title: Band 6 Outreach Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Outreach Nurse Specialist to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting lifesaving treatments for patients across the region.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Perform therapeutic apheresis and cell collection procedures in paediatrics and adults.
  2. Plan and deliver nursing care for patients/donors, providing advice and support as necessary.
  3. Work within a total quality management system approach to maintain nursing practice standards and ensure best practice and clinical effectiveness.
  4. Establish and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders to support patient-centred care and quality and safety.
  5. Provide clinical support and supervision to less experienced staff and student nurses.
  6. Travel and spend time away from base, working irregular hours and overnight stays when required.
Requirements:
  1. Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (RN1 or RNA).
  2. NMC professional registration (which must be maintained in the role).
  3. Demonstrate an awareness of current issues in nursing.
  4. Possess a valid driving licence, allowing you to drive in the UK.
  5. Demonstrate commitment to own continued professional development (CPD).
