Site Procurement Manager Job Opportunity

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is seeking a skilled Site Procurement Manager to join a well-established company in the North West. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing purchasing strategies for direct and indirect spending, ensuring optimal supplier performance and price management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a purchasing strategy to align with the company's objectives, adding value, mitigating supply chain risk, and delivering cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, managing contracts, contractual relationships, and contract management to improve the supply base's delivery of goods and services.
  • Lead a team to deliver support to the business, working closely with the UK and group senior management team to contribute to overall business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing supplier contracts and purchasing strategies, with a strong understanding of procurement processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, negotiate, and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the purchasing strategy.
  • Ownership of the purchasing policy, guidelines, and associated documents, with a focus on procurement excellence.
  • Procurement experience gained from a manufacturing/engineering environment, with a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Ideal candidate will have a high-level CIPS qualification, such as MCIPS.
