POSITION SUMMARY:

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TUTOR


We are in search of a skilled engineering professional to oversee and facilitate the effective delivery of qualifications for a reputable training organization.


The role of Mechanical Engineering Tutor involves engaging in teaching, guiding, and mentoring students pursuing Level 3 qualifications.

You should possess substantial experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with expertise in both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as machine operation. Familiarity with process engineering is advantageous but not mandatory.


Ideally, candidates will have a background in training delivery and hold either an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or higher).

If you lack these qualifications but are genuinely interested in transitioning into a training role, enjoy working in an educational setting, and have solid experience in the engineering field, we encourage you to reach out.

Training opportunities will be available for the right individual.


This position is based at a training facility, with potential travel to other centers in the region, thus a full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle are required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TUTOR
To facilitate and manage the successful completion of all components of qualifications delivered at a state-of-the-art training facility. Instructing learners in the center towards achieving qualifications in accordance with the standards set by the relevant awarding bodies.


We seek candidates who are self-driven, collaborative, and possess a practical approach to work within this fulfilling environment.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TUTOR
A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in Mechanical Engineering
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Experience working with youth
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TUTOR
Level 3 (or higher) occupational qualification
Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (preferred)
Teaching qualification (preferred)
This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.
SALARY & BENEFITS:

Starting salary of £37-39K (dependent on experience and qualifications)
